Regular Season Round 11: Wakayama T. - Kumamoto V. 104-73

The game with biggest result difference took place in Wakayama. Local Wakayama T. (7-2) outscored 5th ranked Kumamoto V. (2-9) 104-73 on Saturday night. Wakayama T. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kumamoto V.'s 44. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Four Wakayama T. players scored in double figures. Guard Lamont Jones (183, college: Iona) produced 30 points and forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Wakayama T.. They moved-up to second place. Kumamoto V. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Wakayama T. will face again Kumamoto V. (#5) at home in the next round.
