Regular Season Round 6: Sokol Lancut - Znicz Basket 76-72

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Znicz Basket (2-4) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Sokol Lancut (2-4) 76-72 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Znicz Basket won fourth quarter 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Lukasz Pacocha (185-82, agency: Promotex) scored 23 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Maciej Klima (203-82) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Michal Aleksandrowicz (192-89) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sokol Lancut moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Znicz Basket and Astoria Bydg. Sokol Lancut will meet AZS PP (#13) in the next round. Znicz Basket will play against the league's leader MOSiR Krosno (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
