Regular Season Round 2: TWU - Lethbridge 86-96

There was a minor upset when Spartans (1-1) lost to Pronghorn (1-1) in Langley, BC 86-96 on Saturday. Spartans were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Guard Morgan Duce (180) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 6 assists. American center Brent Watkins (208) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Anthony Ottley (197-91) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Mark Perrin added 13 points in the effort for Spartans. Five Pronghorn and four Spartans players scored in double figures. Spartans' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
