Regular Season Round 7: La Rochelle - Chartres 60-67

There was an upset when higher ranked La Rochelle (4-2) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked UB Chartres (3-4) 67-60 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But La Rochelle won third quarter 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when UB Chartres won last quarter 17-11. They also forced 19 La Rochelle turnovers. Forward Alexandre Hergott (202-89) fired 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Maxime Boire (182-83) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Guard Romain Malet (191-84) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and forward Diamory Sylla (202-76, college: Arkansas Tech) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. UB Chartres moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Lourdes. Loser La Rochelle dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. UB Chartres will face higher ranked Sorgues BC (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
