Regular Season Round 4: Kvarner 2010 - Zabok 87-64
Date: November 2, 2013
Undefeated leader Kvarner 2010 delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked KK Zabok (2-2) 87-64 in Rijeka. The game was mostly controlled by Kvarner 2010. KK Zabok managed to win third quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kvarner 2010 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to KK Zabok's 36. Worth to mention a quality performance of power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Jure Skific (202-88) who added 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side forward Petar Maric (196-87, college: Lincoln Trail CC, agency: XL Basketball Agency) responded with 13 points and the former international center Dalibor Bagaric (217-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kvarner 2010 have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser KK Zabok keeps the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with KK Split and Jolly. Kvarner 2010 will meet league's second-placed Alkar Sinj on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KK Zabok will play against KK Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
