Regular Season Round 6: Kutno - WKK Wroclaw 75-61

There was no surprise when 6th ranked WKK Wroclaw (3-3) was defeated on the road by third ranked Kutno (5-1) 75-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kutno. WKK Wroclaw managed to win fourth quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded WKK Wroclaw 41-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Swingman Hubert Mazur (191-84, agency: Promotex) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Jakub Dluski (200-87) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Kutno players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Karol Szpyrka (182-87) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jakub Koelner (183-93) scored 17 points. WKK Wroclaw's coach Pawel Turkiewicz rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kutno have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 5-1 record behind leader MOSiR Krosno. Newly promoted WKK Wroclaw keeps the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Stal Ostrow and Wilki Morskie. Kutno will meet MKS DG (#4) in the next round. WKK Wroclaw will play against the league's second-placed SIDEn Torun and hope to secure a win.
