Regular Season Round 6: Heffingen - Musel Pikes 74-91

Bottom-ranked Heffingen is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fifth ranked Musel Pikes (4-2) 91-74. The game was mostly controlled by Musel Pikes. Heffingen was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Musel Pikes shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Toney McCray (198-89, college: Nebraska, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Christophe Donnersbach (193-84) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Musel Pikes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard DeLeon Hines (188-86, college: Incarnate Word) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and his fellow American import forward Adrian Hill (203-84, college: Rutgers) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Heffingen's coach Mark Reed rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Musel Pikes moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sparta. Newly promoted Heffingen still closes the standings with six games lost. Musel Pikes will play against Etzella (#7) in Ettelbruck in the next round. Heffingen will play at home against Larochette and hopes to get finally their first victory.
