Regular Season Round 6: Mondeville - Bourges 54-68

Undefeated leader Bourges delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Mondeville (2-4) 68-54. The game was mostly controlled by Bourges. Mondeville was better in fourth quarter 17-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Mondeville 42-30 including 34 on the defensive glass. Bourges players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for Australian center Marianna Tolo (196-89) who led her team to a victory with 12 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Celine Dumerc (169-82) contributed with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) replied with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88) added 10 points in the effort for Mondeville. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bourges (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row, which they share with Villeneuve. Mondeville at the other side dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Tarbes. Bourges will play against Union Hainaut (#13) in Saint-Amand in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mondeville will play on the road against Nice (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
