No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Triestina (3-0) won against on the road bottom-ranked Alghero (0-4) 74-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Triestina. Alghero was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Alghero 40-27 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Hungarian forward Anna Vida (185-85, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Maria Miccoli (182-95) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Sara Farris (165-85) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and point guard Sara Azzellini (170-86) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Triestina have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Triestina maintains first position in North-East with 3-0 record. Alghero at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Triestina will face San Salvatore (#5) at home in the next round. Alghero will play against Udine and hopes to get finally their first victory.
