Meteors has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Liffey Celtics (0-5) 59-42 on Saturday. They outrebounded Liffey Celtics 43-19 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Meteors made 13 blocks. The best player for the winners was American Katie Ganser (186-90, college: Merrimack) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. Beth Meany (168-90) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds.
