Regular Season Round 4: Muggia - Vicenza 47-55

There was a small surprise when fourth ranked Vicenza (2-1) defeated on the road much higher ranked Muggia (2-2) 55-47 on Saturday. It was a key game for the second position in North-East. Muggia was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Erica Caracciolo (180-86) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Roberta Martelliano (165-92) who added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Alice Romagnoli (190-84) scored 8 points and 15 rebounds. Vicenza moved-up to second place in North-East, which they share with Udine. Muggia at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Vicenza will face Valmadrera (#6) at home in the next round.
