Regular Season Round 6: Toulouse - Arras 51-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Arras' (3-3) road victory over 9th ranked Toulouse (1-5) 62-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Arras. Toulouse was better in third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Toulouse 44-32 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Mali center Naignouma Coulibaly (191-89) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 25 rebounds. American point guard Dawn Evans (170-89, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian power forward Miranda Ayim (191-88, college: Pepperdine) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Maud Medenou (189-90) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Arras moved-up to seventh place. Toulouse lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Arras will face higher ranked Charleville-Mezieres (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Toulouse will play against Basket Landes (#6) in Mont de Marsan and hope to win that game.
