Regular Season Round 4: SIG - Pays d'Aix 61-56

There was a surprise result in llkirch-Graff. where tenth ranked SIG (2-2) defeated higher ranked Pays d'Aix (2-2) 61-56. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Pays d'Aix won third quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for forward Darline NSoki (182-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Forward Kelly Corre (180-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Pays d'Aix. SIG moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Pays d'Aix. SIG's next round opponent will be Dunkerque (#6) on the road. Pays d'Aix will play against Le Havre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
