Regular Season Round 4: Stelmet ZG - AZS Koszalin 105-76
Date: November 4, 2013
Bottom-ranked AZS Koszalin (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 105-76 loss to fourth ranked Stelmet ZG (3-1) in Zielona Gora on Monday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet ZG. AZS Koszalin was better in fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded AZS Koszalin 35-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. Stelmet ZG looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international swingman Przemyslaw Zamojski (193-86, college: Independence CC, agency: Alti Sport) fired 26 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. DR Congolese Christian Eyenga (201-89) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Stelmet ZG players scored in double figures. Stelmet ZG's coach Mihailo Uvalin felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) produced 25 points and his fellow American import power forward Raymond Sykes (206-86, college: Clemson, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Anwil and Rosa Radom. Loser AZS Koszalin still closes the standings with four games lost. Stelmet ZG will face Rosa Radom (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. AZS Koszalin will play against the league's second-placed Anwil (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
