Regular Season Round 2: Al Jaysh - Al Wakrah 97-61

Al Jaysh (5-4) crushed at home Al Wakrah (4-5) by 36 points 97-61, which is the biggest margin this round on Thursday night. Al Jaysh dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Al Wakrah's 34 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Al Jaysh forced 27 Al Wakrah turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Lebanese point guard Fadi Hani Abilmoni (184) who scored 28 points and 7 steals. American guard Anthony Roberson (189-83, college: Florida) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Al Jaysh players scored in double figures. Al Jaysh's coach Beau Archibald felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Dalron Johnson (206-81, college: UNLV) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and Rwandan-American guard Kenny Wilson (193-84, college: Boise St.) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests.
