Regular Season Round 5: Impuls BGUIR - Svisloch 84-76

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Svisloch (3-2) against fifth ranked Impuls BGUIR (3-3) on Friday night. Visiting Svisloch was defeated by Impuls BGUIR in a tough game in Minsk 76-84. It looked good early as Svisloch took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Impuls BGUIR took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. Impuls BGUIR made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Henadziy Zakhar (198-92) stepped up and scored 30 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Aliaksandr Kuzmitski (198-92) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Impuls BGUIR players scored in double figures. Forward Dmitri Shilovich (200-89) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and Ukrainian center Maksym Kozlovets (205-90) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Impuls BGUIR moved-up to fourth place. Svisloch at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. Impuls BGUIR will play against bottom-ranked Borisfen (#8) in Mogilev in the next round. Svisloch will play on the road against the league's leader Grodno-93 (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
