Not a big story in a game in Fos-sur-Mer where 18th ranked Orchesien BC (2-9) was rolled over by second ranked Fos Ouest (8-3) 96-74 on Friday. The game without a history. Fos Ouest led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Fos Ouest outrebounded Orchesien BC 40-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Jamaican-American Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Moroccan-Canadian Mohamed Hachad (194-83, college: Northwestern) helped adding 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Court Side) responded with 19 points and 8 assists and Serbian Djordje Petrovic (203-84) scored 20 points. Five Fos Ouest and four Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fos Ouest maintains second place with 8-3 record behind leader Boulogne, which they share with Chalons-Reims. Orchesien BC lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Fos Ouest will face Saint Vallier (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Orchesien BC will play against SPO Rouen (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
