Regular Season Round 6: Ksiezak Lowicz - Wisla Krakow 87-66

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (4-2) outleveled at home 7th ranked Wisla Krakow (2-4) 87-66 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-66. Ksiezak Lowicz dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Krakow's 34. Wisla Krakow was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Lukasz Bak (210-81, agency: Promotex) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. point guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) chipped in 11 points, 8 assists and 6 steals. Four Ksiezak Lowicz players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) who recorded 25 points and forward Szymon Czepiec (197-88) added 16 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ksiezak Lowicz moved-up to fourth place in Group C, which they share with MKS Skierniew. Loser Wisla Krakow dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Ksiezak Lowicz will face league's leader AZS AGH Alstom in Krakow in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Wisla Krakow will play at home against the league's second-placed SKK Siedlce (#2) and hope to win that game.
