Regular Season Round 6: Ourense - Breogan 60-62

The most exciting game of round 6 in the LEB Gold took place in Ourense. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 9th ranked Ourense (2-4) to second ranked Leche Rio Breogan (5-1) 62-60 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ourense won fourth quarter 19-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Rafael Huertas (189-84, agency: Court Side) who recorded 22 points and power forward Roberto Morentin (206-81, college: Cent.Florida) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Andorra. Ourense at the other side keeps the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Leche Rio Breogan is looking forward to face Lobe Huesca (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Ourense will play against Melilla Baloncesto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
