Regular Season Round 11: Niigata Albirex - Yokohama BC 80-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Yokohama BC's (5-4) road loss to fourth ranked Niigata Albirex (7-4) 73-80 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-73. The best player for the winners was American guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) who scored 21 points and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Nigerian-American forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. American power forward Marquise Gray (206-86, college: Michigan St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the other American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Niigata Albirex moved-up to second place, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Niigata Albirex will face again Yokohama BC (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
