Bottom-ranked Heffingen (0-7) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to sixth ranked Larochette (3-4) 90-73. The game without a history. Larochette led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Heffingen's 32. Larochette forced 21 Heffingen turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Reggie Evans (194-89, college: Metro St.) contributed with 30 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Larochette's coach Helge Patzak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Daniel Weyrich (186-89) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Portuguese forward Nuno Soares (195-80) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Heffingen. Four Heffingen players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Larochette maintains sixth place with 3-4 record, which they share with Etzella. Heffingen lost their seventh game in a row. Heffingen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with seven games lost. Larochette's next round opponent will be Soleuvre (#9) in Belvaux. Heffingen will play on the road against Etzella in Ettelbruck and hopes to get finally their first victory.
