Regular Season Round 13: Chiba Jets - Tochigi Brex 57-82

The game in Chiba supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Tochigi Brex (7-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Chiba Jets (4-9). Tochigi Brex smashed Chiba Jets 82-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tochigi Brex. Chiba Jets was better in fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Chiba Jets to just 5 points in second quarter. It was a very good performance for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Tommy Brenton (196-89, college: Stony Brook) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Guard Yuta Miyanga (183-81) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Pape Faye (200-87) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Chiba Jets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tochigi Brex maintains third place with 7-6 record having four points less than leader Aishin SH. Chiba Jets lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round. Chiba Jets will play again at home against Tochigi Brex (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
