Regular Season Round 7: FoA - HoNsU 58-61

The most exciting game of round 7 in the SM-sarja took place in Forssa. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 8th ranked Forssan Alku (1-5) to sixth ranked HoNsU (3-4) 61-58 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 16-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international forward Minna Sten (190-87) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Forward Kaisa Lind (179-87) helped adding 4 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Kerah Nelson (180-90, college: IUPUI) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Chevon Keith (178-86, college: W.Carolina) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. HoNsU moved-up to fifth place. Forssan Alku at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. HoNsU are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Tapiolan Honka (#9) at home in the next round. Forssan Alku will play against Aanekosken in Aanekoski and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
