The game in Nagano was also quite interesting. 4th ranked Aomori Watts (6-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Shinshu BW (6-4). Shinshu BW managed to secure a 5-point victory 69-64 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 40-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shinshu BW made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game, while Aomori Watts only scored seven points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was American power forward Emanuel Willis (205-84, college: Houston Baptist) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Shoji Nakanishi (190-82) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW's coach Ryuji Kawai used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) added 8 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Shinshu BW moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Aomori Watts dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Shinshu BW will face Saitama Broncos (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aomori Watts will play against the league's second-placed Toyama Grouses (#2) and hope to win that game.
