Regular Season Round 6: Caceres - Guadalajara 65-66

The most exciting game of round 6 in the LEB Silver took place in Caceres. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked Caceres Basket (3-3) to fourth ranked CB Guadalajara (4-1) 66-65 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Javier Salson (199-82, college: Bloomfield) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Alvaro Martin (205-91) chipped in 11 points during the contest. CB Guadalajara's coach Javier Juarez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was point guard Jose Antonio Marco (179-89) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists and American forward Kelsey Williams (201-88, college: W.Virg.Wesl.) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. CB Guadalajara have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Palma. Caceres Basket lost third consecutive game. Caceres Basket at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. CB Guadalajara is looking forward to face league's second-placed Palma in S'Arenal in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caceres Basket will play at home against Askatuak (#13) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
