Important game to mention about took place in Ferrara. Third ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (5-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 11th ranked Treviglio (3-4) 90-88 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Michele Benfatto (205-85) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Julius Mays (188-89, college: Kentucky) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Naturhouse Ferrara's coach Andrea Pulidori allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Filippo Alessandri (190-89) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists respectively for Treviglio in the defeat. Four Naturhouse Ferrara and five Treviglio players scored in double figures. Naturhouse Ferrara have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Omegna and Ravenna. Treviglio at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Naturhouse Ferrara will play against P.Mantovana (#13) in Mirandola in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Treviglio will play at home against Agrigento (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
