Everything went according to plan when second ranked Ravenna (5-2) beat at home 6th ranked Matera (3-4) 77-65. It was a very good performance for power forward Francesco Amoni (201-84) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Swingman Luca Bedetti (193-89, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Ravenna's coach Lanfranco Giordani used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Anthony Jones (191-84, college: Indiana Tech) added 17 points in the effort for Matera. Ravenna keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ferrara and Omegna. Matera at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Ravenna's next round opponent will be Firenze (#15) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Matera will play against Reggio Calabr. (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
