Regular Season Round 2: Niigata - Yamanashi QB 62-58

Very expected game when Yamanashi QB (0-2) lost to Niigata (2-0) in Tokyo 58-62 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Yamanashi QB was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) notched 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Nana Kondo (177-88) supported her with 16 points. Even 25 points and 4 steals by guard Saori Kanehara (164-87) did not help to save the game for Yamanashi QB. Forward Yumiko Tsuge (170-82) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Niigata will meet Toyota A. (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Yamanashi QB will play against Fujitsu RW (#9) in Kawasaki and hope to win that game.
