Regular Season Round 2: Mitsubishi K. - Fujitsu RW 74-67

No shocking result in a game when Mitsubishi K. (2-0) beat Fujitsu RW (0-2) in Nagoya 74-67 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mitsubishi K. made 7 blocks. International center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and international swingman Michiko Miyamoto (175-86) supported her with 22 points. Even 15 points by international power forward Mai Ishikawa (179-85) did not help to save the game for Fujitsu RW. International swingman Chinatsu Yamamoto (175-91) added 8 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Mitsubishi K. will meet JX Sunflowers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fujitsu RW will play against Yamanashi QB (#12) and hope to win that game.
