Regular Season Round 3: Maccabi Ashdod - Hap.Petah Tikva 84-50

The game with biggest result difference took place in Ashdod. Local Maccabi Ashdod (2-1) outscored Hap.Petah Tikva (0-3) 84-50 on Monday night. The game without a history. Maccabi Ashdod led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hap.Petah Tikva to just 5 points in second quarter. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Hap.Petah Tikva's 34. Maccabi Ashdod forced 21 Hap.Petah Tikva turnovers and outrebounded them 55-26 including a 26-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds. The former international Bar Gilinski (185-92) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Maccabi Ashdod's coach Eliyahu Rabi felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Management Group) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Keren Nechama (176-90) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Maccabi Ashdod will meet Elitzur Ramla on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against Maccabi Ramat Hen (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
