Another interesting game for Stelmet ZG (4-1) which played on the court of Rosa Radom (3-2). Second ranked Stelmet ZG crushed hosts 87-57. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet ZG. Rosa Radom was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rosa Radom 42-20 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rosa Radom was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 14 points. Five Stelmet ZG players scored in double figures. Guard Elijah Johnson (183-90, college: Kansas) responded with 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion used an opportunity after Energa Czarni lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Rosa Radom at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Slask Wroclaw and Anwil. Stelmet ZG will play against Anwil (#5) in Wloclawek in the next round. Rosa Radom will play at home against Slask Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
