Regular Season Round 4: Al Khor - Al Wakrah 69-88

Date: November 12, 2013
6th ranked Al Khor (5-4) was outscored at home by seventh ranked Al Wakrah (4-5) with the biggest margin this round 88-69 on Tuesday night. Al Wakrah forced 20 Al Khor turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of Rwandan-American guard Kenny Wilson (193-84, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 rebounds and guard Ahmed Al-Darwish (188-90) who added 20 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Al Wakrah players scored in double figures. At the losing side Senegalese forward Moustapha Niang (206-83) responded with 28 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Jamarr Hardy (191-83, college: Lenoir CC) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Wakrah maintains seventh position with 4-5 record. Newly promoted Al Khor dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Al Wakrah will face league's second-placed Al Sadd in Doha in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Al Khor will play at home against the league's leader Al Rayyan having rather not much hope for a victory.
