Second ranked Nitra blasted bottom-ranked Nova Ves (0-10) in Nitra 115-82 on Wednesday evening. Nova Ves is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. Nitra led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 34. They outrebounded Nova Ves 49-15 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Pavol Losonsky (203-88, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: Interperformances) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Nitra (8-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Inter Bratislava. Loser Nova Ves still closes the standings with ten games lost. Nitra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nova Ves will play against Handlova (#6) and hope to get finally their first victory.
