Regular Season Round 11: Jamtland - LF Basket 83-101

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked KFUM Jamtland (4-6) was defeated at home by eighth ranked LF Basket (4-6) 101-83 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by LF Basket. KFUM Jamtland managed to win fourth quarter 26-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LF Basket made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Keith McLeod (190-79, college: Bowling Green) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists. The former international swingman Christopher Ryan (196-90) helped adding 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five LF Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Egal Saleman (199-88) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St.) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for LF Basket. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Jamtland. LF Basket will meet at home higher ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KFUM Jamtland will play against the league's leader Boras Basket (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
