This time Melilla Baloncesto used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ourense 65-50 on Friday night. The game without a history. Melilla Baloncesto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Melilla Baloncesto dominated on the defensive end, holding Ourense to just 7 points in fourth quarter. It was a very good performance for American guard Darien Brothers (190-91, college: Richmond) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. Forward Eloy Almazan (199-84) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Guard Rafael Huertas (189-84, agency: Court Side) answered with 12 points and power forward Roberto Morentin (206-81, college: Cent.Florida) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ourense. Ourense's coach Gonzalo Garcia let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Melilla Baloncesto (3-4) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Clinicas Rincon. Loser Ourense dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Melilla Baloncesto will face higher ranked Lobe Huesca (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ourense will play against Palencia Baloncesto and hope to win that game.
