Important game to mention about took place in Orchies. Seventeenth ranked Orchesien BC (4-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Poitiers (5-8) 71-69 on Saturday evening. Poitiers was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Orchesien BC, which allowed them to win the game. Orchesien BC shot 25 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Poitiers only scored six points from the stripe. Poitiers was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 assists. Yannick Gaillou (195-79) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Orchesien BC's coach Philippe Namyst allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international Karim Souchu (198-79, college: Furman) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American-Dominican swingman Jeff Greer (196-79, college: Rutgers) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Poitiers. Orchesien BC moved-up to sixteenth place. Loser Poitiers dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost.
