Regular Season Round 7: GTK Gdynia - SMS PZKosz 93-85

Bottom-ranked SMS PZKosz (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-85 loss to eighth ranked GTK Gdynia (4-3) in Gdynia on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 24-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. GTK Gdynia forced 20 SMS PZKosz turnovers. SMS PZKosz was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Danijel Grujic (201-90) fired 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Adrian Krawczyk (186-95) produced 18 points and 5 assists and center Mateusz Fatz (205-96) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. GTK Gdynia moved-up to fifth place in Group A. SMS PZKosz lost their sixth game in a row. They still closes the standings with six games lost. GTK Gdynia will face league's leader Nowa Sol in Zielona Gora in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
