Regular Season Round 9: Centrum - Tromso 62-80

Date: November 16, 2013
Bottom-ranked Centrum (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fourth ranked Tromso (5-4) 80-62. The game was mostly controlled by Tromso. Centrum was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle, agency: Global Sports Plaza) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Gary Wallace (187-88, college: Robert Morris) accounted for 20 points and 9 rebounds. St.John is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ahmed Haddad (189-93) added 18 points respectively for Centrum in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tromso have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 5-4 record. Centrum at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Tromso will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Centrum will play at home against Gimle BBK (#5) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
