There was a surprise result in Tenerife where twelfth ranked FIATC Joventut (3-3) beat higher ranked CB Canarias (3-3) 103-95 on Saturday. CB Canarias trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 95-103 at the end of the game. FIATC Joventut shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 62.1 percentage. Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-90, college: Oregon) scored 26 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-French forward Tariq Kirksay (199-79, college: Iona) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Saul Blanco (196-85) with 22 points and Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (209-82, agency: FCM) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds.
