Regular Season Round 8: MOSiR Krosno - AZS PP 66-49

1Liga top team - MOSiR Krosno (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat thirteenth ranked AZS PP (1-7) 66-49. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when MOSiR Krosno's pressure prevailed and they won that period 22-10 extending their advantage to 17 points. The winners were led by forward Wojciech Pisarczyk (201-88) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and center Dariusz Wyka (208-91) supported him with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds by center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) did not help to save the game for AZS PP. Tomasz Baszak (183-82) added 10 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MOSiR Krosno have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. AZS PP lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with seven games lost. MOSiR Krosno will play against Sokol Lancut (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS PP will play against Astoria Bydg. (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.
