Regular Season Round 13: Iwate Big Bulls - Akita NH 85-70

Undefeated Akita Happinets (12-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked Iwate Big Bulls on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Iwate Big Bulls 85-70. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Akita Happinets. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-70. Iwate Big Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Akita Happinets' 44. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Iwate Big Bulls made 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) fired 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. and Shinshu BW. Akita Happinets at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Iwate Big Bulls is again looking forward to face league's leader Akita Happinets at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Akita Happinets will have a break next round.
