Regular Season Round 12: Nova Ves - Handlova 73-71

Nova Ves can celebrate finally their first win this season after ten consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Handlova (5-6) 73-71 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard N'Gai Evans (188-88, college: Wright St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Stanislav Baldovsky (192-89) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Vladimir Velickovic (178-89) with 11 points and 9 assists and Montenegrin-Serbian center Milovan Savic (205-87) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Nova Ves and five Handlova players scored in double figures. Nova Ves maintains ninth position with 1-10 record. Loser Handlova keeps the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with B.Bystrica. Nova Ves will meet at home higher ranked Iskra Svit (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Handlova will have a break next round.
