Regular Season Round 3: Chanson V-M - Hitachi Cougars 92-59

Chanson V-M smashed Hitachi Cougars in Shizuoka 92-59. The game was mostly controlled by Chanson V-M. Hitachi Cougars was better in second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chanson V-M dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Cougars' 38. Chanson V-M had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for center Miyuki Kawamura (183-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Kasumi Takahashi (167-87) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Ariyama Keiko (172-88) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Cougars will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Chanson V-M will try to continue on its current victory against Hitachi Cougars at Hitachinaka.
