Regular Season Round 14: Kyoto Hannar. - Osaka Evessa 82-72

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Kyoto Hannar. (8-4) beat at home 5th ranked Osaka Evessa (6-6) 82-72 on Sunday. Osaka Evessa was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 29-15 charge of Kyoto Hannar., which allowed them to win the game. Osaka Evessa was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Puerto Rican-American swingman Edwin Ubiles (198-86, college: Siena) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import power forward Zachary Andrews (203-85, college: Bradley) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Osaka Evessa. Kyoto Hannar. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Hamamatsu P. and Shinshu BW. Osaka Evessa lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face Oita Heat Devils (#4) on the road in the next round. Osaka Evessa will play against Takamatsu FA and hope to win that game.
