Very predictable result when fifth ranked Shinshu BW (8-4) won against on the road 10th ranked Saitama Broncos (2-12) 95-79 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 57-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shinshu BW outrebounded Saitama Broncos 44-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Shota Konno (184-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Emanuel Willis (205-84, college: Houston Baptist) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St.) replied with 28 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Bahamas center Anwar Ferguson (213-81, college: Houston) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shinshu BW have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. and Hamamatsu P. Saitama Broncos lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
