Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Agrigento and 12th ranked Treviglio had identical 3-4 record. But Treviglio was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Agrigento 74-62 on Sunday night. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 42-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Agrigento forced 23 Treviglio turnovers. Strangely Treviglio outrebounded Agrigento 45-28 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 23 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Fabio Mian (196-92) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Agrigento players scored in double figures. Tommaso Carnovali (197-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Agrigento (4-4) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Treviglio lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with P.Mantovana and Reggio Calabr.. Agrigento will meet at home Firenze (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Treviglio will play against Chieti and hope to secure a win.
