Another exciting game was between seventh ranked Casalpusterlengo and one of their biggest challengers Lucca where Casalpusterlengo (5-3) beat Lucca (4-4) on the road 78-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lucca. It looked good early as Lucca took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Casalpusterlengo had a 20-13 second period charge getting the lead and Lucca was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-78. Cuban Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Daniele Bonessio (200-88) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Casalpusterlengo players scored in double figures. point guard Davide Parente (188-83) replied with 22 points and American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Lucca. Casalpusterlengo moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Lucca at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Casalpusterlengo will play against P.Mantovana (#12) in Mirandola in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lucca will play on the road against Reggio Calabr. (#13) in Reggio Calabria and hopes to get back on the winning track.
