Undefeated leader Aishin Sea Horses delivered the sixteenth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Kumamoto V. (3-13) 112-86 in Kariya. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-21 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Aishin Sea Horses outrebounded Kumamoto V. 47-23 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Aishin Sea Horses especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and Jamaican center Kevin Young (206-84, college: Missouri) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Lamont Jones (183, college: Iona) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists and his fellow American import forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses (16-0) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Kumamoto V. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Tsukuba R.. Aishin Sea Horses will meet Hyogo S. (#4) on the road in the next round. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round.
