Regular Season Round 17: Polisen - LF Future 75-71
Date: November 17, 2013
Very expected game in Stockholm where 10th ranked LF Future (3-6) was defeated by third ranked Polisen (6-1) 75-71 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 19-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Polisen dominated on the defensive end, holding LF Future to just 6 points in first quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Simon Forsberg (197-90) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Joel Porscke (191-91) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Erik Edin (185-91) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Jonathan Larsson (190-91) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Polisen. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Alvik Basket. LF Future lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth place with six games lost. Polisen will meet KFUM Uppsala (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LF Future will have a break next round.
