Regular Season Round 3: Gimle - Ullern 86-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Ullern (2-1) in Bergen on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Gimle (3-0) 86-67. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Gimle's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-14 extending their advantage to 19 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Ullern's 32. Gimle forced 21 Ullern turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard D'lesha Lloyde (179-86, college: Clemson) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Taysha Pye (175-89, college: William & Mary) helped adding 28 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Tina Moen (180-86, college: IPFW) with 26 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Gimle are looking forward to face BC Asker in Rykkinn in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ullern will have a break next round.
